• The lead actress in the Scream movie franchise has been fired from her role over social media posts about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
• Production company Sypglass Entertainment revealed that Melissa Barrera, who starred as Sam Carpenter in Scream and Scream VI, will no longer be cast in Scream VII.
• The posts in question were shared via Barrera’s Instagram story. “I have been actively looking for videos and information about the Palestinian side for the last 2 weeks or so, following accounts etc,” she wrote. “Why? Because Western media only shows the other side. Why they do that, I will let you deduce for yourself.”
