Secret Service Refuses To Hand Over White House Cocaine Investigation Records

The U.S. Secret Service has declined to fulfill a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that sought records related to the recent discovery of cocaine within the White House. The agency cited concerns about potential interference with an ongoing investigation as the reason for their refusal.

In a letter dated July 11, Bloomberg Business investigative reporter Jason Leopold was informed by the Secret Service that his FOIA request for information pertaining to the White House cocaine incident cannot be accommodated.

Leopold’s request included a demand for various records, such as emails, text messages, memos, intelligence bulletins, threat assessments, after-action reports, and suspicious activity reports specifically related to the cocaine discovered in the West Wing of the White House on July 2.
