- Republican Senator Lindsey Graham once told an ex-Capitol police officer who was badly injured in the January 6 insurrection that he should have used his gun to shoot Trump supporters who were rioting in the head, a new memoir reveals.
- Michael Fanone, who used to work for the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia from 2001 until 2021, said the South Carolina politician offered his two cents on the situation when they first met in May 2021 – four months after the attack.
‘You guys should have shot them all in the head,’ recalled Fanone in his memoir ‘Hold the Line: The Insurrection and One Cop’s Battle for America’s Soul,’ which is set for publication on October 11. ‘We gave you guys guns, and you should have used them. I don’t understand why that didn’t happen.’
