Six People Found Dead From Gunshot Wounds In California Desert

Police discovered six lifeless bodies with gunshot wounds in a remote community in the California desert, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday.

The authorities responded to a welfare check call in El Mirage, a small desert community near Highway 395 between Lake Los Angeles and Adelanto, around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Initially reported as five victims, investigators later found a sixth body at the scene, as stated by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Mara Rodriguez in a morning news conference.

While all the victims sustained gunshot wounds, the exact circumstances leading to their deaths remain unclear, reported Victor Valley News Group. Rodriguez emphasized that the sex and age of the deceased had not been confirmed at that point.

Evidence markers surrounded multiple bloodied bodies on the ground during the investigation, with some bodies showing signs of burning, as reported by KTLA.

The remote community was visibly shaken by this tragic incident, and authorities are actively working to unravel the details surrounding the case.
