- The “well-used” brown suede Birkenstocks from the mid-1970s worn by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs sold with an accompanying NFT for $218,750 to an unnamed buyer.
- “The cork and jute footbed retains the imprint of Steve Jobs’ feet, which had been shaped after years of use,” Julien’s Auctions said in the listing.
- The sale set a record for the highest price ever paid for a pair of sandals according to the auction house.
