Student-Loan Deferments Cost $155B, Mostly Aid Doctors, Dentists

Other Part Of Biden's Student-Loan Bailout Is Costing Taxpayers Billions

  • Part of Biden’s student-loan handout was an extension of repayments through Dec. 31.
  • President Trump first suspended college-loan repayments in March 2020, and the suspension has been extended several times.
  • By one estimate, this has cost taxpayers $155B, with people in high-paying jobs – such as doctors – getting the biggest benefit from the repayment suspensions.
