Sunken Ship With $5M In Treasure Found Off Coast Of Washington

- SS Pacific, carrying $180,000 of gold, around $4.8m in today’s money, collided with the ship Orpheus.
- The famous gold-rush steamer SS Pacific which sank as it traveled from British Columbia to San Francisco in 1875 with nearly $5 million worth of gold on board, killing 325 people, has been found at the bottom of the ocean.
- Northwest Shipwreck Alliance now believes they have found the wreck.
