Several news outlet have named the shooter in the killing Saturday evening of eight people at an outdoor mall in Allen, Texas, based on information from law enforcement sources.

Fox News Digital and a local TV station have identified the shooter as 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia.

The naming of the shooter, killed by a police officer amid the attack, is also based on reports of FBI agents inside of a home in the Dallas area where the shooter had lived with his parents.
