Three police officers were injured Wednesday while responding to a shooting in southeast D.C., officials said, as the suspect remains barricaded in a home.
“All three suffered non-life threatening injuries,” the D.C. Police Department said on X, formerly Twitter. “The scene remains active.”
A fourth officer, who was not shot, was transported to a local hospital to be treated for “minor injuries,” police also said.
The suspect is barricaded inside of a home and is continuing to open fire as of noon local time, according to NBC Washington.
