Three teachers from Barrington Public Schools in Rhode Island, Stephanie Hines, Kerri Thurber and Brittany DiOrio, who were fired in 2021 for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine on religious grounds, have reached a settlement with the school district.
Under the settlement, the teachers will be reinstated to their positions and will receive full back pay.
The settlement also includes $33,333 in damages for each of the teachers, with Hines receiving $65,000 in back pay, Thurber receiving $128,000, and DiOrio receiving $150,000.
