Three law enforcement officers, including a U.S. marshal, were fatally shot Monday afternoon while serving a warrant in North Carolina.
Five others were wounded in the incident, which occurred as the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force was attempted to serve a warrant in east Charlotte.
According to authorities, the three slain officers were part of the task force.
A shooting suspect was found dead inside the home where the gunfire took place.
Two other occupants inside the home were being questioned.
