The judge overseeing Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump expanded a gag order against the former president to prevent him from commenting on Bragg and the judge’s family, according to news reports Monday night.
New York Judge Juan Merchan imposed the initial gag order last week, preventing Trump from publicly discussing jurors, attorneys and court staff, while exempting Bragg specifically.
Bragg is the prosecutor in the civil fraud – or so-called “hush money” – case.
Merchan’s decision Monday expanded the order to include his and Bragg’s family.
