A Utah couple was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting their 15-year-old daughter for over a year, claiming that it was “safer” for her than having sex with strangers, according to multiple reports.
Provo, Utah, authorities were called out to the couple’s home on March 7, after the 15-year-old called officials to report the abuse and stated that her mother had been aware, according to ABC4. Both the suspects, who were reported to be in their 30s, were arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail. The girl’s mother was charged with forcible sexual abuse, forcible sodomy and object rape, while the stepfather was charged with forcible sexual abuse, forcible sodomy, object rape and rape.
