• Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock, who is running for reelection against Republican Herschel Walker, forcefully denied that his church, Ebenezer Baptist, is evicting chronically homeless tenants, calling those claims “false charges” on Oct. 14.
• Just two days earlier, however, the apartment complex owned by the church filed eviction proceedings against three residents, at least one of whom owed as little as $115 in past-due rent.
• The Washington Free Beacon has reported that the building has filed a dozen eviction lawsuits against residents since the start of the pandemic.
