• Surveillance footage from a Florida gym shows the moment a woman fought off a male attacker.
• The incident occurred Jan. 22 at the Inwood Park Apartment Complex in Tampa, when deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to an assault report, according to a press release from the HCSO.
• Nashali Alma, 24, said she was working out alone in the gym before she let 25-year-old Xavier Thomas-Jones into the gym. She had allegedly seen him at the gym prior to the incident. While Alma was working out, Thomas-Jones walked up to her and tried to grab her waist before she turned around and yelled at him to leave her alone, according to the press release and security footage shared by the HCSO.
