- Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York demanded Tuesday that Fox News prevent host Tucker Carlson from releasing further video of the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.
- “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a primetime cable news anchor manipulate his viewers the way Mr. Carlson did last night,” Senate Majority Leader Schumer said. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anchor treat the American people and American democracy with such disdain. And he’s going to come back tonight with another segment. Fox News should tell him not to.”
- Carlson said the Jan. 6 Committee aired selectively edited footage including that of Sen. Josh Hawley being escorted with members of Congress from the Capitol.
- Carlson highlighted footage that contradicted mainstream narratives, including video of Capitol Police officers escorting the so-called “QAnon shaman” through the halls of the building.
