• This year’s theme was “in honor of Karl,” a tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.

• The Gala each year raise millions for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
• Stars on the red carpet this year include Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Selena Gomez.
