Jordan Launches Probe Over Lack Of Arrests Outside SCOTUS Justices’ Homes

After the leaking of a draft decision that overturned federal abortion protections, House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) initiated an investigation into instructions given to U.S. marshals not to arrest protesters outside the homes of Supreme Court justices.

He cited a federal law that prohibits demonstrations intended to interfere with or influence judges.

This probe comes a year after the controversial leak of a draft opinion in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health that overturned Roe v. Wade, which led to protests outside the residences of conservative justices.
