• With Title 42 set to expire Thursday night, the Biden Administration has revived another Trump-era border policy to try to address the “chaotic” situation on the border.
• The new rule, approved Wednesday, bars illegal aliens from seeking asylum in the U.S. if they neglected to apply for asylum in other countries, such as Mexico, that they passed through on their way to the U.S. border.
• The new rule reverses President Joe Biden’s campaign promises. The “chaotic” border crisis, as Biden described it, will get worse later this week when Title 42, a health order authorizing border officials to immediately expel migrants without processing, is repealed at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.
