  • Daniel Penny, a 24-year-old Marine vet, is expected to turn himself in to police Friday after Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg announced plans to charge Penny with second-degree manslaughter.
  • Penny used a chokehold to restrain Jordan Neely, a homeless man who has a long rap sheet. At the time Penny confronted him, Neely was threatening subway passengers.
  • Brag initially interviewed and released Penny, but after daily protests, he has decided to charge him.
