President Joe Biden said in a TV interview Saturday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing more harm than good for Israel’s cause.

He said on MSNBC that he supports Israel’s right to pursue Hamas after the Oct. 7 terror attack, but  that Netanyahu  “must pay more attention to the innocent lives being lost as a consequence of the actions taken.”

Biden also drew a “red line” at the potential invasion of Gaza’s Rafah city, a move that could impact over 1.3 million Palestinians seeking refuge.

Despite this, Biden affirmed continued support for Israel’s defense, ensuring the supply of crucial defense systems like the Iron Dome to protect against rocket threats.

After Biden’s State of the Union address Thursday night before Congress, he told a Democrat senator on the chamber floor he needs to have a “come to Jesus” meeting with Netanyahu on the matter.
