Biden Praises McCarthy On Debt Ceiling Deal For Keeping His Word

• President Biden on Friday praised House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for their joint agreement to suspend the debt limit and reduce deficits by $1.5 trillion over the decade.
• “Both sides operated in good faith. Both sides kept their word,” Biden said from the Oval Office.
• Biden spoke a day after Congress passed the debt limit deal that the president said he’d sign into law  Saturday, two days before the nation could have run out of  ways to pay its bills.
