Buttigieg Again Says Not Running For Open Michigan Senate Seat

- “I’m planning to vote in that election as a resident of Michigan,” Buttigieg said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “The job that I have is, first of all, I think the best job in the federal government. It can be really tough and demanding, with all of the problems that the transportation system has confronted, but also incredibly rewarding.”
- Stabenow announced last month that she will not be running for reelection in 2024, which reportedly left Democrats scrambling to decide who to put put up for the seat.
- Democrats just this weekend moved to make Michigan an early-voting state, as sign of how competitive the race against Republicans will be for the open Senate seat.
