The Colorado Secretary of State will include former President Donald Trump on the ballot in 2024 as the state’s GOP filed an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold announced shortly after the appeal that she will include Trump on the primary ballot on the Jan. 5 certification deadline, unless the higher court decides not to take up the case or rules in agreement with the state.
Earlier this month, the Colorado Supreme Court determined that Trump engaged in an insurrection against the U.S. via the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot and was therefore ineligible to appear on the 2024 presidential ballot.
