If you thought you knew everything about sex, think again. Google has released its top-sex search questions for 2023, and the results are more surprising than you might think.

At the top of the list is the “speed bump position.” If you’re thinking this has something to do with driving, you’re mistaken. This sex position involves placing a pillow under your hips as you lie face down. The position shot to fame after “Love Island” contestant Tom Clare mentioned it on the show, causing a surge of people to search for instructions on how to do it themselves.

The second most Googled question of the year concerned having sex during pregnancy. The good news is that it is perfectly safe, according to Australian parenting website Raising Children, as long as the pregnancy is going smoothly. Orgasms are also safe, though some women may find them uncomfortable as they near the end of their pregnancy.

Coming in third on the list is the meaning of “sex positivity.” This term refers to the accepting and open attitude towards all aspects of sexuality, including sexual diversity, pleasure, and consent.

The fourth-most Googled question was about why someone might experience bleeding after having sex. There are several possible reasons, including vaginal dryness, infections, or injuries. If you experience bleeding, it’s important to consult a doctor to rule out any serious conditions.

The fifth and sixth most searched terms of the year, respectively, were about the definition of “tantra sex” and whether it is safe to use sex toys during pregnancy. Tantra sex is a type of sexual practice that involves mindfulness, meditation, and spiritual connection between partners. As for using sex toys during pregnancy, it’s generally regarded as safe, as long as certain precautions are taken.
