Police on Sunday charged a man in connection with an intentionally set fire last week outside of a Vermont office of Sen. Bernie Sanders, federal prosecutors said.
Shant Soghomonian, 35, who was previously of Northridge, California, entered the building Friday and went to Sanders’ third-floor office where video showed him spraying a liquid on the door and setting it afire, said officials, according to The New York Post.
The Burlington Police Department said Saturday it was seeking information about a suspect connected to the fire.
Police posted on their X account a picture of the possible suspect linked to a suspected arson.
It was unclear Sunday whether Soghomonian is the person shown in the video.
