Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, a former House speaker and a key ally to President Biden, has joined the effort by dozens of other, fellow congressional Democrats to halt to weapons transfers to Israel.
Pelosi on Friday signed as letter with the others asking Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to halt such sales.

“In light of the recent [deadly] strike against aid workers [in Gaza] and the ever-worsening humanitarian crisis, we believe it is unjustifiable to approve these weapons transfers,” the letter said. It was signed by Pelosi and 36 other Democrats including Representatives Barbara Lee, Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
