U.S. Border Patrol agents captured an illegal immigrant from Lebanon who allegedly said he was a member of the terrorist organization Hezbollah and that he hoped to make a bomb and end up in New York, according to documents from the agency.
A U.S. Border Patrol memo published Sunday by the New York Post shows that Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 22, is in custody and being interrogated by the agency’s Joint Terrorist Task Force after agents took him into custody on March 9 in the El Paso, Texas, border sector.
