Despite declining to pursue charges against President Biden, Robert Hur has been adamant that he did not “exonerate” the commander-in-chief.

Progressive Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) elicited that admission from Hur while asserting that his “lengthy, expensive, and independent investigation resulted in a complete exoneration of President Joe Biden.”

“My conclusion was that the admissible evidence was not sufficient to make conviction at trial a probable outcome,” Hur countered.

“I did not exonerate him.”

Later, Jayapal backed off the exoneration assertion, saying: “To me, the crux of the report, the main story, is that you found insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that President Biden willfully retained any classified materials.”
