Djokovic Wins 10th Australian Open, Year After Being Deported For No COVID Vax

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic on Sunday won his 10th Australian Open title, after being deported from the county last year and not allowed to play in the Grand Slam event because he wouldn't get a COVI9-19 vaccination.

  • Djokavic has now won 22 Grand Slam titles, tying the record for the most.
  • “I’m super blessed and grateful,” Djokovic said after his victory in Melbourne Park over Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.
  • Djokovic was only briefly challenged in the final, winning  in three sets.
  • Djokovic also jumps from No. 5 to No. 1 in the ATP rankings.
