- Fetterman several weeks ago checked himself into Walter Reed hospital for depression, which reportedly has been a life issue but worsened after a near-death stroke in August 2022.
- “Productive morning with Senator Fetterman at Walter Reed discussing the rail safety legislation, Farm Bill and other Senate business,” chief of staff Adam Jentleson, tweeted Monday. “John is well on his way to recovery and wanted me to say how grateful he is for all the well wishes. He’s laser focused on PA & will be back soon.”
- Included in the post were several photos of Jentleson and Fetterman appearing to discuss legislation. The Democratic senator appears reading papers in most of them.
- The senator is reportedly preparing to return to Capitol Hill by the end of the month.
