- In May, former police officer Thomas Webster was convicted by a jury on multiple charges including assaulting officers and violent and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
- Prosecutors wanted up to 210 months behind bars for Webster.
- Webster, who also is a Marine Corps veteran, was sentenced Thursday by a federal judge in a Washington, D.C., court to 10 years in prison.
