Hazmat personnel were observed outside the residence of Donald Trump Jr. on Monday following the reception of a threatening letter containing a white powdery substance.
Initial reports of the incident surfaced via the Daily Beast, indicating that the eldest son of former President Donald Trump resides in a lavish estate located in Jupiter, Florida.
According to Axios, a spokesperson for Trump relayed that although the substance’s test results were inconclusive, officials at the scene do not consider it lethal.
Trump Jr. acknowledged the incident in a brief statement provided to MxM News, expressing concern over the recurrence of such threats. “This is now the second time a demented leftist has mailed me a death threat with white powder,” he remarked, emphasizing the disparity in public response based on political affiliation.
“If this happened twice to a prominent Democrat, there would be hearings in Congress, but since my last name is Trump, the media will move on in a day,” he added.
In comments to the Daily Caller, which obtained photographs of the hazmat response, Trump Jr. reiterated his stance, decrying the animosity directed towards his family by political adversaries.
