Iowa Uses $23.5M In COVID Funds To Build ‘Field Of Dreams’ Park

  • Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds is pumping $12.5 million in Covid-19 relief into construction of a permanent Field of Dreams Ballpark in Dyersville, where the movie of the same name was shot.
  • That follows Reynolds’ decision to commit another $11 million in Covid relief funds to build water and sewer lines to the stadium site.
  • Over the past two seasons, Major League Baseball has played two games on a temporary field adjacent to the site where the movie was shot.
