‘Jail’ Liz Cheney: Trump

Wants Prison For J6 Hoaxers

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 21: Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) presides over a hearing of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol in the Cannon House Office Building on July 21, 2022 in Washington, DC. Committee Vice Chairwoman Cheney stepped into chairman's seat after Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) was diagnosed with COVID-19 and had to isolate. The bipartisan committee, which has been gathering evidence on the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol, is presenting its findings in a series of televised hearings. Former President Donald Trump has called for former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney to be put in jail, along with the rest of the Jan. 6 Committee.

This is the latest chapter in the long-running feud between Trump and the former representative, with Cheney helping lead the investigations into Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election and Trump subsequently working to unseat her from the House of Representatives.

On Sunday, the former president shared an article that alleged the Jan. 6 panel “withheld crucial evidence” by not releasing testimony from a Secret Service driver who drove Trump on Jan. 6, 2021. The driver reportedly disputed the account of former White House staffer Cassidy Hutchinson, who claimed Trump tried to grab the wheel of the limo to redirect the car to the rally at the Ellipse to join his supporters.

The article’s author, John Solomon, wrote on Truth Social: “Liz Cheney sat in interview with Secret Service driver who denied story Trump tried to commandeer presidential limo on Jan. 6 but did not include in final report.” Trump quoted the article, adding, “She should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!”
