Kemp Dodges Question On Whether He’d Attend Trump Ga. Rally

Georgia GOP Gov. Brian Kemp was asked Sunday whether he'd attend a rally with former President Trump, if he held one Oct. 15, as reported by state's biggest daily newspaper.

  • Kemp is seeking reelection and leads Democrat challenger Stacy Abrams.
  • The governor has not supported Trump’s assertions that widespread voting fraud occurred in Georgia during the 202 elections.
  • “I’m not too worried about what the Atlanta Journal Constitution is speculating on,” Kemp said on “Fox News Sunday,” about the paper’s report Trump might hold an Oct. 15. “I’m focused to speaking [to] hard-working Georgians, making sure that they know I will continue to fight for them every single day.”
  • Earlier this year, Kemp won his primary against a Trump-endorsed challenger.
