LA School District To Stock ALL Campuses With Opioid Overdose Drug
Los Angeles public schools will stock campuses with the overdose reversal drug naloxone in aftermath of a student’s death at Bernstein High School.

- Move puts the nation’s second-largest school system on the leading edge of a strategy increasingly favored by public health experts.
- Naloxone will be stocked in roughly 400 elementary, middle and high schools, part of the district’s newly expanded anti-drug strategy.
- Strategy was quickly devised in response to seven student overdoses over a three weeks – at the Bernstein campus and Hollywood High School.
- Plan announced Thursday will also include expanded parent outreach and peer counseling.
