LAME: White House Sets Plan To Cut Fentanyl, ‘Tranq’ Deaths By Just 15% By 2025

  • The White House unveiled a plan to tackle the growing presence of the powerful animal sedative xylazine, also known as tranq, in the U.S. illicit drug supply.
  • A six-point plan from the White House drug control office came out Tuesday morning previewing an increased effort to scale testing and research on the ‘zombie drug’ that leaves users with rotting flesh – sometimes requiring amputation.
  • The administration stopped short of recommending restrictions on the medication with pushback from farmers, veterinarians and others that regularly use the drug in their field.
