Musk Buys Twitter, Wants It To Be ‘Warm And Welcoming To All’

  • Multibillionaire Elon Musk confirmed Thursday that he has closed on his acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion.
  • He said that he wants Twitter to be a “digital town square” that is “warm and welcoming to all.”
  • He warned, however, that Twitter “obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences.”
