The Michigan Wolverines dominated the College Football Playoff final Monday night with a crushing 34-13 victory against the Washington Huskies.

The Wolverines entered the game with their No. 1 ranked defense while their opponents relied on the Heisman Trophy-finalist Michael Penix Jr. as the cornerstone of their offensive strategy.

Michigan’s Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards drove the ball down the field, each running for over 100 yards with two touchdowns apiece. Washington pushed hard against Michigan, but the vaunted defense held strong, intercepting two of Penix’s passes and dealing punishing hits.

Leading up to the final, Michigan faced accusations of a sign-stealing scheme, causing a brief suspension of coach Jim Harbaugh. However, last night only served as validation of the Wolverines’ legitimacy as national champions.

After the game, Harbaugh praised his team, who have trained hard for a grueling 372 days leading up to the final. The trophy presentation highlighted how vital each member of the Michigan team had been in leading the Wolverines to their first national championship in over two decades.

The win marked the end of a turbulent but historic season for Michigan. The team has overcome a challenging journey to the top, with the doubts of their detractors only adding to their firm resolve, unwavering commitment, and unyielding dedication.
