- A Navy ship recover the spacecraft and its three test dummies wired with vibration sensors and radiation monitors.
- The successful trip in a big next step toward a manned flight around the moon targeted for 2024.
- The manned trip if successful would be followed by a two-person lunar landing as early as 2025.
