Next Up Lawrence Jones: Rising Fox Star Takes Carlson Slot, Tries To Stop Ratings Slide

  • The Fox News Channel’s primetime rating have been in a free fall since the cable TV network fired host Tucker Carlson on Monday.
  • Morning show host Brian Kilmeade took Carlson’s 8 p.m. slot last week, as primetime viewership dropped by a reported 56%, according to the Nielsen company.
  • The immensely popular Carlson was fired in the aftermath of Dominion Voting System’s defamation suit against the conservative cable TV channel in which some of Carlson’s internal emails and/or texts took centerstage.
  • The 30-year-old Jones will host the rebranded ‘Fox News Tonight” show.
