No Purpose For Biden Anti-Gun Office Other Than Rewarding Bloomberg, Giffords

  • Pres. Joe Biden gave in to gun-control advocates’ demands and officially created the “first ever” White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge (of all people) and hired the advocates to run it.
  • No one says how this new bureaucracy will reduce serious crime, but it will give greater access to those pushing for gun-control policies.
  • Michael Bloomberg’s gun-control group Everytown announced Thursday that the White House is “naming our own Rob Wilcox and Gregory Jackson” as deputy directors of the government department.
  • Gabby Giffords, who runs a gun-control advocacy group, said in a statement that she has been lobbying Biden to create this interagency task force since before he was elected. She said that Biden “today answered our calls” and that it is a “giant step forward.”
