Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly planning to name entrepreneur and attorney Nicole Shanahan as his running mate.
He is expected to announce Shanahan, the former wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, in late March, according to the media website Mediaite.
The domain www.kennedyshanahan.com was registered earlier this month by Kennedy senior adviser Link Lipsitz, the outlet also reported Saturday.
Shanahan supported Kennedy’s Super Bowl commercial, and she is expected to “help finance the ballot access initiative,” a source close to the campaign said.
“She might be infusing millions of dollars into the campaign to help fund the ballot initiative, which makes her attractive financially; however, she lacks the qualifications to actually do the job,” the source also said.
