Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) officially endorsed former President Donald Trump for the 2024 election, expressing his support on X. Cotton highlighted what he perceived as a stronger position for the economy, border security and national security during Trump’s first term compared to the current administration.

He pointed out the booming economy, wage growth, secure borders, and global respect during Trump’s presidency, contrasting it with what he described as challenges under President Joe Biden.

Cotton stated, “I endorse President Trump and look forward to working with him to win back the White House and the Senate so we can help hardworking Arkansans suffering from Joe Biden’s disastrous policies. It’s time to get our country back on track.”

As of the end of the previous year, Trump had garnered endorsements from 18 senators, including Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Mike Braun (R-IN) and others.

Cotton’s endorsement reflects a longstanding alliance with Trump, though the senator has occasionally diverged from the former president in recent times.

Despite disagreements, Cotton’s endorsement aligns with Trump’s influence within the Republican Party as the 2024 election approaches.
