So Many Illegals Arrived That Authorities Had To Close Entire National Park

As many as 500 migrants believed to be from Cuba came ashore this weekend in Florida, including 300 over New Year's, forced authorities to close Dry Tortugas National Park.

  • Dry Tortugas is about 70 miles west of Key West and is accessible only by boat or seaplane.
  • The park is made up of seven small islands.
  • Officials with the park say it will be closed to the public for “several days” amid efforts to assist and process the migrants.
