‘Super Fog’ Blankets New Orleans Area, Causing Deadly Vehicle Pileup

  • A “super fog” in Louisiana on Monday morning caused a multi-car pileup on an interstate near New Orleans.
  • The pileup amid the low visibility occurred on Interstate 55,  a 24-mile-long highway over Lake Pontchartrain.
  • Gov. John Bel Edwards confirmed fatalities but did not say how many people were killed or injured.
