WTH, FBI? Hundreds Quit Before Facing Sexual Misconduct Charges

- Hundreds of FBI employees quit before being disciplined for sexual misconduct, according to whistleblowers who shared that information with Sen. Chuck Grassley, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
- The whistleblowers gave Grassley a Justice Department memo titled, “Retirements and Resignations During Unwelcome Sexual Conduct Adjudications.”
- According to that memo, between 2002 and 2020, more than 660 FBI employees, including 45 senior officials, retired or resigned after being probed for alleged misconduct, but before receiving a final disciplinary letter.
