Georgia rejected the DNC’s plans to move up the state’s 2024 primary, deciding instead to hold its vote on March 12, 2024, nearly a month later than Democrat had hoped.

The DNC had hoped that Georgia would hold its presidential primary on Feb. 13, 2024, making it the fourth contest in the primary process, but Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the state would stick with the March date.
