Former South Carolina Governor and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley asserted on “CBS Mornings” that it is a “fact” that former President Donald Trump has experienced mental decline.

Responding to co-host Nate Burleson’s question about Trump’s confusion between her and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Haley expressed concern about having two 80-year-olds running for president, emphasizing the inevitable mental decline that comes with age.

Haley stated, “It is a fact that when you are their age, you have mental decline. I don’t care who you are. You have mental decline.”

Referring to Trump’s repeated confusion between her and Pelosi, she emphasized that Trump is not the same as he was in 2016, pointing to a noticeable decline.

Highlighting her broader perspective on the issue, Haley added, “Joe Biden has declined in the two years since he’s been president. The party that puts a new generational leader in is the party that will win. That is why I am running. I don’t want my kids to live like this. If you’re going to have eight solid years, you can’t put a guy in their eighties in there.”

The comments reflect Haley’s belief that a new generation of leadership is essential for the success and future of the country.
